The Main Lounge of the SCR is located on the first floor of the Queen's Building.

The Lounge is open from 9.30am to 4.30pm. Morning and lunchtime coffee is available from 9.30am until 2.15pm. Tea is available from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.

Books of Coffee Tickets are available over the counter from the Coffee Servery next to the Main Lounge.

A selection of sandwiches, cakes, snacks and soft drinks are on sale in the lounge. However we would ask patrons that any food other than light refreshments be consumed upstairs in the bar or at the tables provided in the main servery area.

Business meetings should also be upstairs in the Bar. The AGM agreed the criterion, that if your meeting is such that you would not welcome others joining you, or involves a lot of paperwork or laptops, it is not appropriate for the lounge.

Outside of normal hours the lounge can be booked for hosting events. Please contact the SCR Chairman for further details and to confirm availability. Catering can be provided by Student and Campus Services.
